| MODULES & ADDITIONS
civilcad is modular so that you can build up your software licence from the Base module (cadastral survey from field data to finished plans) to all Survey and Engineering modules. There are also limited point licences to enable the individual user to get started in civilcad.
Modules include
BASE
Field data to finished cadastral plans, including survey data collection, subdivision design, coordinate geometry and plotted drawings.
BASE ADVANTAGE
Adds terrain modelling, contouring and additional coordinate geometry functions to the BASE module.
SURVEY
The complete Survey module comprising all the software for cadastral and topographic survey work, volumes, simple profiles, intersection design and drawings. Now allows the insertion of background raster images which can be fitted to the cadastral data.
SURVEY ADVANTAGE
Adds longitudinal and cross section extraction from multiple surfaces and preparation and plotting of section drawings to the SURVEY module.
SURVEY & ROADS
The complete solution for Survey and full Roads Design.
ADDITIONAL MODULES
DRAINAGE AND SEWER DESIGN
A further module is available for Drainage and Sewer Design.
The Drainage module in civilcad is designed to compute overland flows and pipe sizing for networks with one outlet. Overland flows and hydrological data are computed using the Rational Method, with pipe sizes and inverts being calculated by the Hydraulic Grade Line Method. The user-defined library allows for local rainfall intensities, pipe types and sizes, kerb and channel profiles and other data to be used.
The network is constructed in the Survey View using strings and nodes to define pipes and pits. The Drainage View is used to compute flows and apply the pipe sizes recommended. Natural or existing surface levels can be extracted from the triangular surface model in Survey. If no surface exists, then pit and terrain levels can be manually entered based on a distance along each pipe reach.
The software allows for obstructions such as other services. Minimum clearances can be applied so that the network is designed to avoid the obstruction.
Final output is provided in the form of reports and drainage long section drawings.
3D VIEWER Surface views and alignment drive throughs can be achieved with the civilcad 3D Viewer. |
